About us...
Dedicated to ‘Fostering a continued, strong commitment to catholic tradition and the search for contemporary meaning,’ the parishes & ministries of the North American Old Catholic Church throughout world reach out to & embrace all of God’s children.’ Our ministries are transparent – no one is turned away from learning about God’s love and acceptance.
Our clergy work in a wide variety of ministries & missions within and independently from their parish communities.
Our clergy & seminarians are encouraged to become engaged in their communities & indentify where they can be of assistance, bringing Christ’s message of unconditional love & acceptance to all in everyday life.
'Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.' (Matthew 25:45 NAB)

God’s Diverse Love
God’s love, as expressed in the teachings of Jesus Christ did not exclude anyone.
‘… so that everyone who believes in him…’ means the same today.
We welcome all people, even those turned away by family & other churches to full life & participation in
all our ministries, as well as to service as a deacon, priest or bishop.
Parish Life
The Church of the Beatitudes & the North American Old Catholic Church, strive for intimate liturgy
and worship, giving God what only God demands & deserves.
The Eucharist & Sacraments give us God’s graces & love, through the authority of the Sacramental
Priesthood. These Sacraments and their graces are offered to all who believe & seek.
This approach to parish community allows us to have a personal relationship with our congregations
and likewise, the members of our congregation are able to forge strong, supportive relationships with
their clergy and each other.
A Sacramental Experience
We celebrate seven Sacraments, these Sacraments are available to all you seek them.
• Baptism
• Penance (Confession)
• Holy Eucharist
• Confirmation
• Marriage/Holy Unions
• Holy Orders
• Sacrament of Healing
A Mission Church
Striving to be a witness of the presence & love of Christ in everyday life, we consider ourselves to be a
mission church. Our clergy & each of our ministries are committed and engaged in their local and world
community.
Social justice, education & sacramental ministries are given special attention; those of our society that
marginalized, outcast & ignored by other faith-communities: women, divorced, the elderly, immigrants,
disabled, Gay/Lesbian/Transgender, the homeless, the addicted and outcasts ~ Sinners & Saints!
All are welcome to worship and give adoration to God regardless of their state in life. God loves you as
you are!
“I am Roman Catholic … can I come to an Old Catholic Church?”
Yes, you can! Any of our priests can explain to you why it is OK as a Roman Catholic to attend and receive the sacraments from an Old Catholic parish.
Specifically, Canon 844, Section 1-4 allows those catholics who ‘require a genuine spiritual advantages commends it’ to receive sacraments from the other churches, and in Dominus Ieus, Pope John Paul II recognized us as a valid church.

What are Old Catholics?
The North American Old Catholic Church is a catholic denomination in the worldwide, universal church of Jesus Christ.
The Old Catholic Church is a community of Christian churches. Many of these were German-speaking churches which separated from the Roman Catholic Church in 1870's because of the promulgation of the dogma of Papal Infallibility as promoted by the 1st Vatican Council of 1869-1870.
The term ‘Old Catholic” was 1st used in 1853 to describe the members of the Church in Utrecht, who were not under Papal authority, but fully catholic.
The 1st work of the Old Catholics in the United States dates back to 1885, when Father Joseph Rene Vilatte (later, Bishop) established his 1st mission work in the area of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
While the European Old Catholic Churches are part of the Union of Utrecht, there are many more that are independent, especially in the United States.
